Actually it's a Gibson ES 345. The ES 335 didn't have the 6 position varitone switch. Which also came out in 1958. But I digress

@Jonathan Nagel yeah, i feel like the trem was a 60s thing. Can't remember off the top of my head. But all they were good for was putting the guitar out of tune the moment you used them lol

Joseph Mulvaney - ha, that’s exactly what my instructor in the 99s told me when, as a fan of The Cure cared more about looks than feel or sound, got an Epiphone Sheraton II and liked the bulky Gretsch tailpieces, but they apparently don’t hold tune for crap, let alone if you use them, which over the course of many guitars since, I’ll flex a neck before I reach for a Whammy bar (not doing Van Halen dives over here :-))
