LISBON (POR): European marathon champion Daniele Meucci (61:06, 2013) and world half marathon record holder Zersenay Tadese (58:23, 2010) will race the Rock’n’Roll Lisbon half marathon on October 5. World half marathon bronze medallist Guye Adola (59:21, 2014) and Moroccan record holder Aziz Lahbabi (59:25, 2014) are two other top contenders in the men’s race. The women’s race will be headlined by World marathon silver medallist Valeria Straneo (67:46, 2012). She will be challenged by 2004 Olympic marathon champion Mizuki Noguchi (67:43, 2006; 70:36 in 2013) and Worknesh Degefa (67:49, 2013), who has already run 5 half marathons this year.
